Elverum, Lunsford, Blau Release New D+ Album

Set to tape almost entirely through a single microphone in Phil Elverum's living room, What Is Doubt For? is the latest release from D+, the Pacific Northwestern lo-fi supergroup of Elverum, Karl Blau, and Beat Happening's Bret Lunsford.

The nine-song set, which follows hot on the heels of June's On Purpose collection, is due September 9 from Knw-Yr-Own. It features guest vocals from Genevieve Castree, aka Woelv.

Karl Blau also has another solo album in the works. Nature's Got Away, out September 23 on K, includes contributions from members of Sunn0))), Lake, Graves, and Chin-Up Merryweather.

There are no D+ shows right now, but we ran down all those Mount Eerie dates on Friday and Blau has one gig lined up for now: September 19 at the Department of Safety in Anacortes, Washington with Earth and Stebmo.
