British Sea Power to Tour with the Killers

UK drama club presidents British Sea Power have announced a short string of tour dates as openers for current Top 40 alt-pop kings the Killers. British Sea Power continue to support their sophomore album Open Season, released last Spring, while Brandon Flowers and co. recently issued an expanded U.S. edition of their best-selling debut LP Hot Fuss.

The bands will kick off the brief outing at the end of this month, with stops at the Across the Narrows and Download festivals. The New York Dolls, Interpol, Tegan and Sara, the Ordinary Boys, and Lake Trout will join them on Staten Island on October 1 for the former, and Modest Mouse, the Arcade Fire, Doves, Mindless Self Indulgence, H.I.M., the Lovemakers, and Ambulance Ltd. will play Mountain View, Calif., on October 8 at the latter. Note to Brandon Flowers: Don't forget to stock up with your Avon lady!
