The Hillary Clinton for President campaign hired Fieldworks at $2.00/signature to qualify Clinton for the Virginia primary ballot in 2008.^[1]

Petition drives in 2008

• Colorado Discrimination/Preferential Treatment Initiative (2008)
• Colorado Initiative 76 (2008)
• Renew Missouri Initiative (2008). Fieldworks was paid $196,000 to collect signatures to qualify the measure for the ballot.^[2]
• Nebraska Civil Rights Initiative (2008). Fieldworks was paid $25,000 as a consulting fee by Nebraskans United, the group that said it was attempting to ensure NCRI would not make the ballot.^[3]

Petitioner fraud allegations

The petition drive Fieldworks is conducting on behalf of Colorado Initiative 82 has been accused of fraudulent signature-gathering practices. Online news site wrote on July 9, 2008, "Face The State recorded the woman's statements after being contacted by multiple voters expressing concern about questionable comments she had made on the morning of July 3rd...The woman, who gave her name as "Janelle", said she worked for Fieldworks, the firm hired to obtain signatures in support of Initiative 82. Telling the undercover FTS reporter that the initiative she was gathering signatures for would prevent a “guy out in California” from putting “quotas on programs we have,” the signature gatherer also told the reporter that Amendment 46, if passed, would eliminate battered women’s shelters (MP3) and also apply to the private sector."^[4]
