"Skeleton Boy" [Video]

Pitchfork.tv: Friendly Fires: "Skeleton Boy" [Video]

The skinny dudes who go with the big beats of sleek Cut Copy- or Metronomy-style dance-pop get a little bit skinnier in the video for Friendly Fires' "Skeleton Boy". Directed by Clemens Habicht, the clip for the first single from the English band's self-titled debut album shows the Friendly Fires members in, yup, black skeleton costumes against a black background. Snow, synths, and swooping melodies rain down overhead as the percussion keeps steady four-on-the-floor time. "I close my eyes on the dancefloor/ Forget about you," the song begins. 'Cause skeletons have eyelids and stuff.
