Fairfield CT-The Sacred Heart wrestling team traveled to Wagner and defeated the Seahawks 36-15 in their last meet of the calendar year. The Pioneers dominated the match as Anthony Priore (Garwood, NJ), Chris Davis (Mohawk, NY), Austin Alpaugh (Lafeyette, NJ), and Bill Beirmeister (Boonton, NJ) all notched wins by pin fall.

The Pioneers (3-2) also received a strong effort from Ricky Eichenlaub (Woodcliffe Lake, NJ) as he recorded a 16-1 technical fall. Cory Dunn (Rutherford, NJ) earned the Pioneers four more points with a major decision 17-5 over Nick Keshecki. Brandon Lapp (Castleton, NY) rounded out the scoring for SHU at 174 pounds with a 7-2 victory.

The Pioneers will return to action in January 7th as they welcome American International College to the Pitt Center for a dual meet. Sacred Heart will then travel to Lancaster, PA for two dual meets against Franklin & Marshall and South Dakota State.
