Fairfield, CT- Senior Chris Davis (Mohawk, NY) has been named a wrestler of the month by the Colonial Athletic Association for competition up to December 7th. Davis has posted a 10-2 record and two very impressive tournament outings to open the 2008-09 season. His outstanding performance has elevated him to #33 on the InterMat national ranking list at 141 pounds.

Davis was the runner-up at the Body Bar Invitational with a 4-1 record. In the tournament he was able to pin #3 in the nation Mike Grey of Cornell at 3:27. Davis used a 5-1 performance in Binghamton to secure a fifth place tournament finish. The 141 pound senior notched wins over Ryan Goddu of Boston, 12-8, and Matt Maniarcher of American, 6-5.

Davis also pinned his opponent in Sacred Heart's only Dual meet of the year, a 31-13 win over Stevens Tech. The Pioneers will compete in four dual meets this week against Bloomsburg, Buffalo, ESU, and Wagner.
