Debbie Tidy to be Inducted into Connecticut Scholastic and Collegiate Softball Hall of Fame

Pioneer softball great Debbie Tidy is slated to be inducted into the Connecticut Scholastic and Collegiate Softball Hall of Fame March 1st. Tidy was a four time All-American (1984-1987) at Sacred Heart and appeared in three NCAA final fours. She remains at the top of nearly every statistical pitching category in the Pioneer record book. The Pioneers will play 10 games in the fall in preparation for their spring schedule. The season opens as SHU welcomes rival Fairfield to Pioneer Park September 21st. The fall slate includes tournaments at Fairfield, St. John's, and Stony Brook. Contests at AIC, Yale, as well as two alumni games round out the 2008 fall schedule. [+] |
