Women's Cross Country Ranked 15th in Regional Poll

For the first time in Sacred Heart history the women's cross country team was ranked in the weekly USTFCCCA poll. Sacred Heart was ranked 15th in the northeast region, just behind nutmeg state rival Yale. The Pioneers are coming off an impressive performance at the Northeast Conference championship race last weekend. Four SHU harriers, all underclassmen, garnered all-conference honors. [+]

Cross CountryFour Pioneers Earn All-NEC Honors as Women's Cross Country Takes SecondFour Underclassmen were named to the NEC All-Conference Team as SHU took second place in the conference championship race this weekend. The Pioneers have been a balanced and very deep team all season long. Mekenzie Krause (Bennington, VT), Brittany Llobell (West Sayville, NY), Dana Troy (Lebanon, CT), and Samantha Troy (Lebanon, CT) all finished in the top 12 to take home All-NEC honors. [+] |
10/30/2008 - W. Cross CountryNEC Cross Country Champions to be Decided this WeekendThe NEC will hold its annual cross country championship race Saturday in Holmdel, NJ. The Pioneer men and women are both expected to finish near the top of the field after their impressive fall campaigns. The 2008 men's team now features the top three runners in school history. Cross CountryKenworthy Named NEC Athlete of the Week; Cross Country Comptes at UAlbany InviteJohn Kenworthy (Gloversville, NY) picked up his second NEC Athlete of the Week nod after running to a seventh-place finish at the UAlbany Invitational on Oct. 18. The women's team finished third in the race, led again by Sarah Tencza (Succasunna, NJ) and Mekenzie Krause (Bennington, VT), while the men earned seventh place in their race. [+] |
