Tom Waits Reveals "Glitter and Doom" Tour
The wait for Tom Waits dates is over (zing!) As previously reported, the hard-to-hate Waits promised a spate of the things in the U.S. and Europe just as the season to mate comes to an end. Hey, that's great!
And now Tom has delivered, revealing a 13-date North American trek, with European shows in the works. It's all supporting, er, Scarlett Johansson's soon-to-arrive record of Tom Waits covers? I guess?
The big announcement was made via a humorous YouTube "press conference" posted this morning. Hey, if this whole music thing doesn't work out, Tom can always fall back on a stand up comedy career.
The "Glitter and Doom" tour, as Mr. Waits has characteristically christened it, kicks off June 17 in Phoenix, and lord almighty do we hope it includes some Mariah Carey and black metal covers. Bring a date and don't be late!
