Death Cab for Cutie Reveal Fall U.S. Dates
As Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard continues on his quest to look like Stephen Stills, his band continues to promote Narrow Stairs on tour. The Washingtonian foursome is busy with an Asian and Australian jaunt at the moment, but not too busy to look forward to the fall and schedule some U.S. dates.
Said tour begins October 3 in Boston, a month after Death Cab play Seattle's Bumbershoot festival. Before then, they have the aforementioned cross-Pacific dates, the next of which is tonight (August 12) in Singapore.
UK residents were recently treated to a little extra Death Cab, with the July 19 release of the iTunes Live: London Festival '08 EP. Recorded live at London's KOKO, it features live versions of "Title & Registration", "Cath...", "Long Division", "Grapevine Fires", "A Movie Script Ending", and "Soul Meets Body".
