* with SSION
+ with Entrance, Beehive & The Barracudas

Joining the Yeah Yeah Yeahs for a few nights during their expansive garage rock invasion is Beehive & The Barracuda, the like-minded supergroup featuring members of Rocket From The Crypt, PeeChees, and the Red Aunts. The 'Cuda released their third full-length in July 2003, at the producing hand of vintage-sound veteran Derek "Snee" McGee through Swami Records. But the album was almost never released (which may or may not be a good thing) due to a sudden fire at McGee's Strange Sound studio. The fire, although not totally destroying the studio, did melt the majority of its expensive equipment and incinerated the adjoined house; but luckily, the newly mixed tracks were safe inside McGee's 1978 Subaru hatchback. Classic!
