Blend on high, throw in some exclusive artwork from the forever-busy David Barnes, and voila-- Satanic Twins, a limited edition (2000 copies), vinyl- and digital-only double remix album from Of Montreal! It's coming out August 22 on LP and download courtesy of Polyvinyl.

The collection, nearly two years in the making, features tracks from the band's last two albums refashioned by the likes of Grizzly Bear, I Am the World Trade Center, United State of Electronica, Supersystem, and more.

Hear Mixel Pixel's version of "Disconnect The Dots" from Satanic Panic in the Attic and IQU's take on "Forecast Fascist Future" from The Sunlandic Twins HERE.

Of course, this isn't it for today's All Barnes, All the Time agenda. Of Montreal are scheduled to release a new record, titled Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?, early next year. Barnes has also been pumping out the jams for a 2007 record with Andrew VanWyngarden of the Management (the MGMT if you're hip, the band who toured with OM on several occasions if you're really hip) under the name Ocelot Fang. Like The Satanic Twins, both records will see the light of day thanks to Polyvinyl.

Also, the original, non-remixed version of The Sunlandic Twins' "Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games" will have its video shown on MTV2's "Subterranean" June 26 at midnight.

Finally, Of Montreal have a North American summer trek lined up, including stops at Lollapalooza and Bumbershoot. The band plans to make its way to both Japan and Europe in late October and early November.
