Epic Digital Media was founded in 2007 by Gerard O'Keeffe and Paul Coyle. Previously Gerard and Paul founded Eirborne Text Promotions in 2002. Eirborne grew to become a leading mobile entertainment company in Ireland and the UK, attracting over 200,000 regular users to its service each month. Eirborne was sold to Zamano plc in April 2007.
