Last weekend, the by:Larm Festival swept through Oslo. As photographer Eirik Lande put it, "by:Larm is like the Scandinavian CMJ or SXSW, which means it's a very tiny CMJ or SXSW."

Well, tiny it may be, but you sure get a lot of bang for your buck in Norway these days. Audiences were treated to performances by Annie (ahem, we're still waiting on Don't Stop!), Christian Fennesz, the Whitest Boy Alive, Frida Hyvönen, Datarock, Hanne Hukkelberg, Ungdomskulen, and the Megaphonic Thrift, among others.
