    Editorial Comment Fred Khumalo
He’s a buffoon, but when we laugh at Malema, we mask an ugly truth
At our leaders’ behest, we are beginning to accept the normality of the abnormal and the morality of the immoral
  • Old or new, our parliamentarians have probing questions to answer
  • Fix potholes, public service and all that’s broken before they implode
  • We’ve gone from a breath of fresh air to the same stale rhetoric
  • It’s time to call in the reinforcements and broker a real deal in Zimbabwe
  • As the US wakes from its bad dream, we can only hope for the same chance

  • Speaking revolutionary tongues
If there is any commonality between South African masses and their French counterparts, it is simply that they love a good fight.

Surely it’s time to ‘promote’ Malema?
Although I have always supported and admired the DA’s political policies and quality leadership, I have also appreciated and respected the ANC’s freedom charter and policies (in theory) largely because of the non-racist principles.

COPE prepared to make tough choices
In choosing Bishop Mvume Dandala, COPE is signalling its intention to walk the talk regarding values and ethics.

Too many party apples are rotten
Palesa Morudu hit the nail on the head — is Jacob Zuma the best option the ANC can promote as the next possible president of South Africa? The answer is obvious.

    This country is ANC’s dustbin
I couldn’t help noticing the ANC slapping their posters onto anything standing still.

    The French connection
Thanks to Fred Khumalo for another fine article on jazz in Paris.

South Africa is on the brink of failure
The easy answer to the question: “Is South Africa becoming a failed state?” is probably “No — not yet”.

    Carl’s lies are too familiar
It was interesting to read your newspaper on Sunday. It appears Carl Niehaus has been living the high life for years.

    We are destroying our country
Building countries and nations is a major task for all people of the world who love their countries. Yet no nation in the world destroys its country as we do.
