I think 50 pounds for 2 people is very expensive...."very-2 expensive", aspecialy for INDIAN STUDENTS because they paid Rs. 4000 (50 pound convert in indian rupees).

£50 for 2 people is expensive!!!!
Places where I've eaten well and it has been cheaper:
    savoir faire
    oregano in angel
    56 in newington green.

No working print function available. Every attempt to print a page leads to garbled results.

Sorry, did everybody else see the phrase 'cheap eats' here, or did i just imagine it? Dear Time'd Out, if you think that a meal for two that squeezes in just under £50 is "cheap".. then you are looking seriously out of touch with your audience. For Pete's sake, have you read the news recently?!
Anyone who thinks a £25 meal is 'cheap' doesn't read TO.. they get their Domestic Assistant to do it!

brixton's a dump but neo libs want it to be safe and nice but its dangerous

More 'eats' as opposed to 'cheap eats'. Particularly in light of recent activity, this is terribly disappointing from a normally stirling source of information, Mr Timeout.

I love it! "uhhh drongo actually was commenting on someone else" ......how old are you?
Brixton is pretty grotty, dangerous and smells....
The sands end serves the best breakfast I have had in the 10 years I have lived in London.

uhhh drongo actually was commenting on someone else who said that. he then told the person to stay in clapham and called them a ponce. can you ppl read??

Hey Katy - keep it cool. Drongo was just trying to be safe. No one wants to go for a meal and get blugeoned afterwards.
You can't say "those uneducated people" and then spell "experience" incorrectly.
    ;)

To the 'drongo' (quite appropriately named comment) who said 'I'm a bit surprised they recommend everybody go to Brixton' for the restaurant Franco Manca. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about and you have never eaten there. It is a good thing that the word 'Brixton' still brings a countenance of fear to those uneducated people who have not taken the time to explore just another culturely interesting part of London. It is your loss to not expierence this restaurant and also miss out on such an eye opening part of this city.

..and another recommendation, TAYYABS, London E1 1JU. Do not turn your backs on the queue - it's a good sign and it's worth a wait and one of the best cheap eats in London. It's a good thing standing in the queue, you can then see what they're all about and see what goes around! You'll notice one specially that sizzlers it way past you!
