Houston began her career in 1995 after being discovered by Peter Davy, an adult-film director, while she was dancing in the Tropicana strip club. She subsequently became a contract performer for Nitro, earning herself a $1000 per month salary, and then left for Metro Global Media.
Houston is most notable for her work in Metro's Houston 500, a movie in which she reportedly had sex with over 620 men without interruption on February 6, 1999. Before this event, she spent 45 days in jail after turning herself in to Ventura County law enforcement for an outstanding DUI charge.
During 1999, she claimed to have earned over one million dollars and brought in $20,000 a week from strip club appearances. Houston also appeared on The Howard Stern Show to promote the fact that she was having her labia surgically trimmed to enhance her "look" during close-up video work. Houston also claimed that her labia was causing problems during her dancing in strip club appearances. In a subsequent online auction, Houston reportedly sold her labia for an estimated $10,000 according to online auction, Erotic Bid.[3]
In 2000, Houston appeared on VH-1's "Porn to Rock" documentary, which chronicled the efforts of various adult industry actors attempting to make the crossover to mainstream careers in various rock and roll endeavors.[4]
Houston's appearance on VH-1 led her to appear in cameo roles in various rock/rap videos during the next few years, notably for bands such as Kottonmouth Kings ("Bump") and Sum 41 ("The Hell Song"). Her notoriety continued to expand with the release of her first single, "What Do You Want From Me?" in late 2003 and a subsequent musical performance at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.[5]
Houston has appeared as a guest on The Howard Stern Show over fifty times. [6] Her 1999 appearance on the Howard Stern Show prompted Brad Parascandolo, an 18-year old Staten Island, New York high school student, to call in and enlist the disc jockey's help in taking Houston to his senior prom. Houston cheerfully complied, accompanying Parascandolo to his June prom which was held at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, despite some discouragement from a few parents and school administrators, who believed Houston's presence would prove distracting. The prom date initiated a relationship between Houston and Parascandolo, eventually having the teenager move to California and accompany Houston. In subsequent interviews, Brad and Houston discussed their relationship and amicable parting.[7]
Houston has a daughter whom she sometimes refers to in her online blogs and her former column, "Hangin' With Houston," for Adult Video Network Insider. She also has a twin brother who was in the California Highway Patrol. Her grandfather was Claire Weeks, who worked on the Disney movie Tinker Bell and taught animation in India where Houston's mother grew up. Houston also has two dogs, "Mojo" and "Marmaduke," American Bulldogs.[8]
Houston has tattoos on the back of her neck (angel), lower back (butterfly), right arm (heart), and lower stomach (flames).
On July 22, 2008, Houston announced that she is battling melanoma.[9][10]
Houston no longer works in the pornography industry. She has become a Christian and is currently in the process of beginning to work with XXXChurch.com[11].
