Henry Richardson Labouisse, Jr. (February 11, 1904 - March 25, 1987). Son of Henry Richardson, Sr., and Frances Devereux (Huger) Richardson, he was the director of the United Nations Children's Fund for fifteen years. He was also a member of the United States Council on Foreign Relations. He married Elizabeth Scriven Clark on June 29, 1935. A lawyer, he was United States Ambassador to France 1952-1954, as well as U.S. United States Ambassador to Greece 1962-1965. The Labouisse Prize is in his honor. An Anglican of Louisiana (hence his Francophone last name), he married Ève Curie, nine years after Clark died, in 1954.

There is a prize in his honor established at Princeton University, his alma mater, and given to a graduating senior each year.[1]
