The UEFA/CAF Meridian Cup is a football competition jointly organised by UEFA and CAF for youth teams. From 2001 on, unlike other international tournaments, the winners were the individual confederations and not the national teams.
In 2007, the format changed again. A UEFA under-18 team played two matches against a CAF under-18 team. The 2007 event took place in Barcelona, Spain and was hosted on the premises of FC Barcelona.
