BACKGROUND

In 2004, Pelephone - a pioneer and a market leader in the Israeli cellular communications industry, launched its 3rd generation network. In addition to offering advanced technology, Pelephone also distributed appealing content for the 3rd generation cellular phones they marketed. The next year, Pelephone launched a website (named escShow) built by eWave to provide Pelephone customers with download capabilities for robust and diverse cellular phone content.

THE CHALLENGE

Two years after the website was launched, Pelephone experienced a decrease in site visitor volume. They discovered that the decrease was directly related to the website’s slow response time.

All hardware upgrade and software tuning attempts by Pelephone's information systems support department did not resolve the issue, and the deterioration in website usage continued.

THE SOLUTION

THE RESULTS

Immediately after the system performance issues were resolved, the website’s response time began to improve. Within a few days, the site experienced a significant increase in visitor traffic and downloads. In fact, visitor traffic doubled and download volumes showed a significant increase.
