MOST OF THE luscious citrus decorating market tables — conjuring promises of lustfully sticky, sweet satisfaction — are crosses between one cousin or another.  

As many followers of Bill Brand's "What's on Tap" column already know, on Feb. 20 Bill succumbed to injuries sustained when he was hit by a Muni train in San Francisco earlier this month.  

Chef John Marquez brings more than beets to his first restaurant, housed in the former Gigi. He comes with an impressive resume, including stints at Picasso (Las Vegas) Per Se (New York), French Laundry, Coi, and San Francisco's Fringale, and he's a local boy to boot.
