Søren Larsen put the visitors firmly in control with two early goals as Dušan Fitzel's side proved to be no match for the high-flying Danes in Group 1.

Brisk double
Denmark served notice of their intent when Nicklas Bendtner shot into the side-netting, and home keeper Justin Haber was called on to deny Daniel Jensen, before Toulouse FC striker Larsen chased down Dennis Rommedahl's ball through the offside trap to score on 12 minutes. The 27-year-old had his tenth international goal not long afterwards, netting with a low shot after a clever pass from captain Martin Jørgensen.

Nordstrand strike
Morten Olsen's men were happy to sit back a little after the interval, yet continued to create chances with Rommedahl seeing a goal-bound header blocked. Substitute Morten Nordstrand put a seal on the result with a goal at the death. Denmark stay level on points with Hungary at the top of the section ahead of Wednesday's home game against Albania. Malta visit Budapest the same day.
