Jalila The Cat By: Kendra HI, my name is Jalila, and of course, I’m a cat (Bet, you weren’t expecting that). I live at Oak Street San Francisco, California, USA, Earth, Universe and so on. Anyway, enough with the chit- chat, of course you know that I live in the city, and I am a very well know cat, I’m basically a famous feline. I am very well respected too, that is until now… Here I am sitting in an ally, mowing as loudly as I can, but no one’s coming. Wait a minute, I better back up to how this happened… First off, let me tell you about my owner, Alexandra Baxburger (Alex). She is the top engineer at the Light Control Office (LCO) and she is very well respected which makes me well respected. In the cat world, cats own their owners (even though they don’t pick them), so I am seen as the owner who trained her to be the top engineer. Any way, it was a normal day at my house, my owner had just left the house to go for work, and my two friends, Sabrina, the neighbor’s cat and Willa, the other neighbor’s cat. We were taking a \ morning bath, when we heard a scratch at the front door. It was Tim and Tom, the only two boy cats on our street (the most annoying too). They apparently were coming to annoy us today. So in my house, it was just three Tabbys, against two Siamese. Just then, Tim decided to climb up on my table and knock off the flower pot, to clash to the ground. I was horrified at the sight. Not thinking at all, I raced up to Tim, and clawed him on his cheek. This started at cat fight, (not the kind between girls) a REAL CATFIGHT!!! It was horrible, I clawed Tim, and then I went after Tom, while Willa and Sabrina went after Tom and then Tim. In the end we were all tired and bleeding, so they all went home. About five minutes later while I was stunned sitting on my pillow, Alex walked in. She immediately dropped the keys and her purse and looked around. Steam was coming out her ears and nose, What had I done!?! You could see from her position the knocked over flower pot and the blood and claw marks on the Cream White carpet. She walked over to me and picked me up off my pillow and put me outside saying, “Bad Kitty” … That is how it happened. Me getting kicked out with it being cold and having to stand outside mowing, with no one answering. I can tell you it was not easy. Just then Tim came over to brag about how he knocked o9ver the pot and wasn’t in trouble. So that statement started another cat fight. Meanwhile, Alex was staring out the window and watching the whole thing. When she saw Tim before I clawed him, and that he was bleeding. She immediately took a picture of the Siamese and the knock over pot. About two minutes later after Tim left, she came to the door. “I sorry, Jalila, I didn’t mean to kick you out. Will you forgive me?” and I meowed. Epilogue Alex sent the pictures to the owners of Tim and charge them for the vet (to get me cleaned up) and paying for the pot Tim and Tom are in big trouble with their owners and we won’t see them for a long time. Things are going fine between us now, we are even closer than before. Life is good.
