2008 was an exciting year for Chung Cheng. We have really lived it in the spirit of Innovation and Enterprise . Bazaar-by-the-Lake was a great success, with every single member of Chung Cheng coming together to make it possible. The Sec 2 Adventure Camp in Kota Tinggi was also a wonderful new experience for all the Secondary 2s. The i-café set up by the Parents Support Group has also added to array of innovations in the schools and the café has definitely served us well.

This year, we will be embarking on many new ventures to make your school life in Chung Cheng enriching and meaningful. We start the new year with our new school vision, “ Institution of Eminence, Generations of Leaders; Grounded in Values, Global in Outlook. ” We want to groom every Chung Cheng pupil to become bilingual, all-round leaders who are confident, knowledgeable and creative. We hope that you become leaders in your own respective areas, may it be in the academics, sports, aesthetics or others. Leaders who are confident interacting with the world; who are open and imaginative, yet rooted and grounded in traditions and key values of passion, perseverance, integrity and pride.

Chung Cheng is 70 this year. This has been a remarkable 70 years. There will be a series of events planned for the Chung Cheng family to come together and celebrate this special occasion.

For many of the CCA groups, this will also be a challenging year for you, with SYF Central Judging and numerous competitions coming up. Thus, do remember learn to manage your time. You still own the responsibility for your learning and work. As we embark of this new exciting year, we hope that you will continue to be independent learners with sound character and moral values.
