[edit] Original Team

Plan B Skateboards was a skateboarding team founded in 1991 by Andrew Pensch of Vero Beach, Florida. The team was comprised of many (already) pro skateboarders who were chosen specifically. The team was regarded as one of the most influential of the 1990s, due to their innovations both in skateboarding and in the use of skateboarding videos.

Ternasky was tragically killed in a car accident in 1994, which had a devastating effect on a majority of the team. The brand's rights were then handed over to Danny Way and Colin McKay but because of the tragic association with the "Plan-B" title, the company basically ceased to exist. Mike played such an important role in the overall direction of the company that there seemed to be no use in reformation, and hence a 10 year disappearance.

[edit] Reformation

In 2005, Plan B was resurrected by Way and McKay with the financial backing of Syndrome Distribution, using the same formula as the original Plan B, as a superteam of riders picked from other teams. Among these were Paul Rodriguez Jr. from Girl, Ryan Gallant from Expedition-One, PJ Ladd from Flip Skateboards, Brian Wenning from Habitat. Way and McKay maintained their roles as team co-owners/pro skaters. Pat Duffy and Darrell Stanton were later added to the pro roster. J.J. Davey became the team's first amateur, but recently left to ride for Foundation[disambiguation needed]. Stanton later left the team for Element Skateboards in August 2006. Plan B Skateboards</ref> On July 25, 2007 Jereme Rogers became the newest addition to the team.[1] On February 4, 2008, Plan B introduced Scott Decenzo as its first amateur skater.[2]. They were also named one of the first, and most popular brand to EA's Skate., featuring Paul Rodriguez, and Ryan Gallant in the demo, released September, 2007 for the Xbox 360 and PS3

[edit] Pro Skate Team

Plan B debuted their promo film, Superfuture, at the September 2008 Action Sports Retailer Expo. It is viewable online on Plan B's website, downloadable as a Podcast from iTunes, and also included on DVD with the purchase of select Plan B skateboards.
