Hot hatch

I wanted to have a car which would be good as a daily driver but to be able to perform on the track as well. I was thinking of buying an older E36 M3 but decided to go for the Mini after driving it at my dealer. This small piece of German/British engineering is a great compromise. It's very handy around the bends of the Oulu city centre but when i unleash it on a trackday I'm able to get a kick out of it. The handling is absolutely superb for a FWD! The only problem seems to be the lack of power but thats easy to take care of. Carfreaks' trusted BMW-tuner Kelleners sport in Dinslaken Germany is able to hook me up with 40-50 extra horsepower. Thats probably something to happen next summer if i still own the car.

I ordered it well equipped because I just felt like getting all the needed extras hence buying it for everyday use. It has a full leather interior, Harman/Kardon HiFi system and some other things to make it feel like home when driving it around. I also had some aftermarket parts fitted, which I naturally bought from Kelleners Sport. It has a Kelleners-specced Bilstein PSS9 fully adjustable suspension, Kelleners exhaust and 18" OZ superleggera wheels for a better look and handling. The tires came from Pirelli. They hooked me up with 215/35/18 Pzero neros. The brakes have aftermarket brakepads and the fluids from Motul. In the future i will fit some JCW carbon exterior parts to make the Mini look even more bad-ass (if that can be said about a hairdressers car like this).

I'm totally satisfied with this car and the mods, especially the unbelievable suspension make it even better. Me and Lauri represent the Minigang of Carfreaks. Someone has to be different from all the BMW:s and Porsches which the other Carfreaks-members possess and this really is a great way to do it. It's the most fun I've had in a car without going to BMW M-division or Porsche.
