Origin: Motorsports

As Porsche says, this car is race-bred. It shares almost all of its components with the GT3 Cup, which is as real a racecar as they get. This is why it has simply unbelievable driving dynamics. Drive one, and you can feel everything that is happening between the car and the road. And as is to be expected, no unnecessary gizmos are fitted to interfere with the actual driving. I believe that this represents Porsche's vision of what driving a sports car should be at its purest form.

The 911 turbo's are of course awesome all-rounders, but if you want the pure touch and the feeling of immediate power, combined with superior handling, then this is *the* car. The car also looks great, and sounds too - especially when fitted with Cargraphic Race mufflers.

So when the opportunity came to buy one, I was sold. Almost new, driven 20 thousand km's in Italy, good options (clubsport seats and the safety roll bar), no previous racing and in perfect condition - I simply could not resist it. And why should I have? It felt stunning immediately, it was great to do some testing on the German autobahns, and as luck would have it, these Porsches don’t come fitted with the common 250km/h limiter.. I cannot wait to get to driving on the Finnish tracks - and of course the Nordschleife too. Tweaking the car's fully adjustable suspension to fit my driving style should be fun and challenging.

With this car, there is so much to learn that I just do not see any need to change to a more demanding "toy" (if there even is anything on the market?). The only drawback is that I cannot fit my golf clubs anywhere..

Behind the wheel

JH I am born 1950 so I have lots of cars behind me. Mostly for "normal" use but some also for fun. I appreciate serious comfort in everyday use, but I am also keen to enjoy *real* cars whenever possible. The joy of driving means much to me, not just the absolute power. As they say, power is nothing without control. So, don't be surprised if you see me driving to work and enjoying the Helsinki traffic jams with the P-car.
