The unwritten symphony of Sibelius

It became to the fact that I had to adopt to new means of controlling a car. I was forced to take into account several new things, which previously were not necessarily a concern of mine, when purchasing a new vehicle. I had to prioritize the car's functionality in regards to using a wheelchair, besides added requirements to the ease of controllability.

Choosing proved to be relatively easy. While looking at the class of small-size vehicles, best usability and fun factor were the two key factors, in addition to the imperative automatic gearbox. No highly exotic options are available in this class, given the obvious requirements.

Still, a fitting car for a daily driver was found. One which, added with certain enhancements does bring out a smile on your face on the Boulevard now and then, not forgetting the Nurburgring either. As the summer passes by, the coming winter is not a problem due to the All Wheel Drive. As to what the Americans would refer as a 'beater', the Golf has redeemed its position commendably.

The car has been fitted with a gas-ring from Guidosimplex, besides a mechanical hand-usable brake-lever. The sound of the V6 is brought forth harmonized by Supersprint's full racing piping & exhaust manifold. The air flow has been upgraded by BMC's Ram-Air intake. To make the most of these alterations, Karala (Alt Control Oy) has forged a customized software for the car. To make the car glide on the right height and stance, the chassis was upgraded with Bilstein's PSS9. The suspension system provides excellent control of the vehicle while conserving a level of comfortableness.

I wish express a Thank You to Frank of Orange Tuning for the speedy delivery of parts and Samin Autopaja for the installations. To truly make the car function as an entity (after all of the changes), the Thanks go to Decatec Oy.
