Money well spent

I will always remember the gut-thrilling feeling having walked out of the local bank and holding the receipt for a brand new Porsche 911 Turbo. Next morning I stepped into the Stuttgart -plane and started the ultimate fairy tale of my personal automobile history.

Factory collection was an unforgettable memory that is rather hard to beat. Factory tour, first meet with this icon of all time sports cars, an agonizing wait to get her broken in, German Autobahn, detour via Swiss and French alps and finally short (1400 km) trip to the Travemünde to arrive back home.

As a matter of fact, all trips - long and short - in this wonderful piece of German engineering feel like breeze. The only thing that went wrong in this "project" of mine was my rash investment for a separate daily-driver. This daily driver has mainly been a monthly driver.

I have tuned my Porsche very much towards track driving. On top of this I have been rather surprised by the pluralistic nature of this car. My previous Carrera 4S was rather pale in comparison what a 911 Turbo can do for you. Apart from being a perfect daily driver, one can take her to the track, be at the top of the list at the One Mile Challenges, do a decent job taking your kids to their hobbies and still be the king of the hill when joining your friends for a nighttime cruise in the downtown.

Porsche 911 Turbo has so far represented absolutely the best overall feeling/money spent -ratio in my garage.
