Technology

RealNetworks, Inc. is a world leader in video streaming services. Broadcasting using streaming enables a user to watch a very large video without having to first download it in its entirety. The video is sent to the user in packets and is displayed continuously, providing the user with a smooth viewing experience. eWave represents RealNetworks in Israel, and clients from around the world consult with eWave technology experts on implementing streaming servers. In addition to consulting, eWave provides technical support in streaming, as well as software solutions incorporating the streaming technology.

For us, technology is a tool to serve clients, rather than the goal. We are technology vanguards, maintaining an innovative technological front in order to inspire new products, enhance existing products, improve customer service and remain efficient. We know how to recognize and implement true technological innovations that offer better functionality and performance. And, we know when to let short-lived trends pass.

eWave prides itself on being technologically diverse, ensuring the best solutions for our clients across a variety of platforms.

A prime example of eWave’s technological diversity is its quick and thorough adoption of the SOA approach. The approach Web Service Standard is now used by world technology leaders, making it simpler than ever to integrate systems by Microsoft, Sun, IBM, SAP, Oracle and others. The SOA concept enables enterprise users to spearhead new IT systems, enabling the technology to work for the business, rather than vice versa.

eWave’s Microsoft Division has extensive experience with Microsoft technologies ranging from ASP and DNA to the various .NET versions. This division specializes in C# development, as well as other MS products such as BizTalk, CRM, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server (MOSS 2007), and others. The division also implements numerous projects based on third party products, as well as progressive eWave products, such as eGen. eGen is a .NET-based fourth generation code generator which extends the Visual Basic environment and adjusts it for business users wishing to create information systems in minimal time.

eWave’s Java Division, which implements projects for large clients, specializes in two main service lines. In the system integration arena, we develop or migrate to SOA systems, using BAM and BPM tools, enterprise portals and self-service systems. In the area of rich Internet applications (Web 2.0) we conduct projects for established companies as well as start-ups. These projects incorporate technical and graphic design, community tools, content applications, gambling and e-commerce applications.  The division specializes in development using JEE (previously J2EE) platforms, leading commercial management applications, such as BEA WebLogic (and AquaLogic), the Oracle Fusion platform, IBM WebSphere, and open-source products such as the JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite and Apache Tomcat.

PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a widely used general purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development. As a web-oriented company, eWave has a group of experts in PHP applications that provides services for customers who wish to develop their applications using open source and PHP technologies.

The information systems that eWave develops support complex business processes that bind customers, suppliers and partners into one information system, a system that manages activities across the organizations. The core of a number of these systems is a BPM engine, which enables process planning and monitoring using a visual tool, designed for business people to use. Implementing the BPM tool saves R&D team development time, improves the quality of the end product, and enhances active project monitoring.
