In the Community

At eWave, we aspire to contribute to the community in which we operate. Volunteer work and contribution to the community are part of our values and beliefs. Success goes hand in hand with giving back in return, and it is a long-standing tradition at eWave to give back to the community.

This year, in addition to community contributions, we have established active social involvement in the community as one of our primary values, executing different projects in which all of eWaves’ employees are involved.

Since its foundation, eWave has taken action for the community in several arenas:

Annual Jewish New Year Project  - Since its establishment, eWave has donated annually to non-profit organizations on the behalf of our customers. So, instead of sending customers yet another gadget, we send them a donation certificate, and put the money to good use
Donations go to:

  • Chaim (Life) Foundation - The foundation helps improve the treatment and conditions of children with cancer, mainly where government support is lacking

  • Shabtai Levi House - A boarding school and an emergency center in Haifa for young children. During the Second Lebanon War in 2006, the center’s facility was severely damaged

  • Prior to every Jewish holiday, food collection boxes are placed throughout the company’s offices, and employees donate food products for those in need through different non-profit organizations:

  • Blood Donations - Every few months, a mobile blood bank clinic visits the corporate office, and company workers actively step up to donate blood. eWave also promotes the bone marrow donation campaign organized by the Ezer Mizion organization among its employees

  • Variety Israel - eWave has positioned candy vending machines all throughout its facilities transferring all incomes to Variety Israel, a non-profit organization, acting for the welfare of sick and disabled children up to age 18 with special needs.            http://www.variety-israel.org/english/default.asp

  • Families in Need - eWave donate all its used computers and computer equipment to families who cannot afford to purchase them

Road Map for 2008:

In addition to all the annual projects conducted, this year eWave has developed a volunteering plan which focuses on 3 activity centers:

1.     Food distribution to families in need in Herzliya
2.     Youth guidance for hostel  residents in Ramat Hasharon

3.     Youth tutoring in the Shaviv Neighborhood Learning Center in Herzliya

eWave has also adopted the Ethiopian community in a wide range of volunteering projects that have taken place over the past several years.

The Environment - eWave promotes environmental quality among employees, increasing their awareness and offering a number of volunteer activities for them to take part in.
