Twenty-one statewide ballot propositions were on the 1998 ballot in California.
  • 9 were on the June 2 statewide primary election ballot.
  • 12 were on the November 3 statewide general election ballot.
  • Altogether, 14 of the 21 statewide propositions were approved.
