Mac or Windows

I won’t discuss this.
It is impossible to get reliable information about this subject.
Discussing the differences between the two in a audio forum is equal to a flare.
This happens so often that people broaching this subject are accused of trolling.
If you go for a Mac you have to go all the way, stick to the Apple way otherwise you run into problems.
In case of audio, this isn’t a problem really, lots of audio professionals use Mac/Firewire to manage their recordings.
True audiophiles think professional gear  is below standard. That’s one of the many paradoxes of high end audio, listening to music with equipment having a price tag professional studio’s can’t afford recorded with equipment far below high end standards.

I think the differences between Mac and Windows are a bit overrated as far as sound quality is concerned.

This leaves another question unanswered: what about Linux?
