A Stark County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities tax levy appeared on the May 5, 2009 ballot in Stark County, Ohio.[1] The ballot measure was approved.[2]

  • Yes: 35,651 (67%) Approved
  • No: 17,912 (33%)

Stark County commissioners placed th 1.4-mill, five-year levy on the May 5 primary election ballot.

The levy is designed to generate about $10 million per year.

If the measure passes, it’s expected to add $42.88 to the property taxes of the owner of a $100,000 house.
