The Constitution of the State of New Mexico is the document governing the political framework of this arid U.S. state. Article II contains a bill of rights. It was adopted by Constitutional Convention November 21, 1910, ratified by vote of the People November 5, 1911, and became effective upon admission to the union on January 6, 1912.
