DARPATech is DARPA’s Systems and Technology Symposium. Held approximately every 18 months, the primary purpose of the event is to share where new ideas are needed in order to bridge the gap between far-side possibilities of tomorrow and the near-side capabilities of today.

Awards Ceremony

The 4th Annual DARPA Awards Ceremony was held on December 10, 2008. The Award Ceremony recognizes DARPA Government employees and organizations for their outstanding performance and support of DARPA's mission in 2008.

Grand Challenges

In 2007, DARPA hosted an autonomous vehicle race through traffic. Find out more about the Urban Challenge, and the prior 2005 and 2004 Grand Challenges. DARPA currently has no plans to hold an additional Grand Challenge event.
