NASCAR and iRacing to Partner in Online Racing Ser [18-05-2009 | DH | Comments (0) ]
CONCORD, May 16, 2009: NASCAR and iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations announced today that the two organizations are joining forces to create a NASCAR-sanctioned online racing series, a new competition division that will be licensed by NASCAR and organized and hosted by iRacing. Beginning early in 2010, NASCAR fans anywhere in the world will be able to log onto the internet and compete against one another, as well as a number of NASCAR drivers, in an official NASCAR series featuring digital duplicates of real-world NASCAR cars and tracks in the most realistic NASCAR racing environment ever created.

A new generation of Formula One video games featuring all the drivers, teams and circuits from the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship was announced on Friday by Codemasters, the developer and publisher of award-winning racing video games, under its exclusive worldwide agreement with Formula One Administration Limited. Extending the Formula One experience to further gaming formats, it was also announced that F1 2010™ is in development at Codemasters Studios and coming mid 2010 for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft® and Games For Windows®. F1 2010 is being created using Codemasters’ EGO™ Engine technology, which most recently powered the BAFTA award-winning Race Driver: GRID™.

In spring 2006 netKar PRO was released after several delays and years of waiting. Like some Italian supercars, it looked and felt brilliant with beautiful graphics and hitherto unprecedented high fidelity physics. Add to that a new depth to the racing simulation genre including having to operate switches in the interactive cockpit, removing visor tear-offs to clear visibility, change tires when flat spotted, allowing the mechanics time to effect repairs in the full realism mode and taking care of many more features, it was like a new dawn for racing simulation enthusiasts.

2008 World Champions of Online Racing
Topping a year of more than 22,000 race entries from more than 60 countries, Pete Bunce, Conor McCarrell and Allen Cotton have been crowned the 2008 World Champions in the first-ever Championships of Online Racing presented by the National Auto Sport Association!
Bunce, of the United Kingdom, scored one win, one pole and an average finishing position of second en route to the Touring Car World Champion title in the six-round finals, which were contested over four different sims, car types and tracks.
McCarrell, of the United States, claimed the top step of the Sports Car World Champion podium with two wins, one pole and an average finishing position of second in the finals, which featured three different sims, four car types and six tracks.
Cotton, of the United Kingdom, placed on the podium in all six events of the Open Wheel World Champion finals to claim the title, notching one win and an average finishing position of second in contests that spanned two different sims, four car types and tracks.

iRacing Announces 2009 World Cup: Annual Club Championship Features Global Tournament for Internet Racing
BEDFORD, MA (January 19, 2009) - The World Cup of iRacing™, a global, team-style, annual internet-racing competition, was announced today by John Henry, chairman of iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC. The inaugural World Cup of iRacing begins February 1st, with the start of the first of four 12-week 2009 iRacing competition seasons. It will be contested by 35 clubs, which encompass the entire iRacing membership and are organized by global geographic region. Clubs will compete through the four quarterly seasons, followed by a regional runoff and then on February 6, 2010, a one-day, winner-take-all day of racing to determine the World Cup of iRacing champion.

As the release of netKar PRO 1.0.3 comes closer, the netKar PRO team decided to release the official netKar PRO 1.0.3 Manual now already.
netKar PRO received a lot of feedback on the first installment of the simulation. A couple of things: no multiplayer demo, lack of support and hardly any documentation.
Improvement is happening. The support has been improved, nKP v1.0.3 will contain a multiplayer demo and now we present you the official manual for netKar PRO v1.0.3. The manual contains 144 pages covering every little detail in netKar PRO.
Already now you can start reading through the manual and learn everything you need to know about version 1.0.3 of netKar PRO. This way you will be completely prepared when 1.0.3 is out!
