Adobe Flash CS4 Professional Update (10.0.2)

05/13/2009 This update for Flash CS4 Professional (10.0.2) addresses issues related to compiling large projects. Specifically, it addresses stability and performance issues related to large animation files, such as timeline scrubbing and looping and nested movie clips, as well as text handling. Adobe Flash Player 10 Security Release Update for Flash CS4 Professional

02/24/2009 This download contains fixes for critical vulnerabilities identified in Security Bulletin APSB09-01 Flash Player update available to address security vulnerabilities. The update replaces the Debug and Release versions of Flash Player 10 browser plug-ins and standalone players that are included in the initial release of Flash CS4 Professional (player version 10.0.2.54). All users should apply this update. These new players are version 10.0.22.87.

Adobe AIR 1.5 Update for Flash CS4 Professional

11/17/2008 This update for Flash CS4 Professional supports the release of Adobe AIR® 1.5, the Adobe cross-operating system runtime that allows you to deliver personal, interactive experiences to the desktop. Among the many new features of Adobe AIR 1.5 is support for the capabilities of Flash Player 10, which includes 3D effects, custom filters, and advanced text support.

This update also provides fixes for problems related to compiling large files and applying motion to multiple objects. It also addresses issues related to the Adobe Product Improvement Program on Microsoft Windows Vista, resizing the document in a Flash slide presentation file, and working with full-screen FLV video. Anyone already working with Flash CS4 Professional should apply this update. IMPORTANT: For all languages except English, Spanish, and French, users must perform an additional step to complete this update. For more detail about this process, read the technote.

10/15/2008 This update of Flash Player 10 contains additional bug fixes. The update replaces the Debug and Release versions of Flash Player 10 browser plugins and standalone players that are included in the initial release of Flash CS4 Professional (player version 10.0.2.54). All users are encouraged to apply this update. These new players are version 10.0.12.36.

For users of Flash CS3 Professional, this update will also be available via Adobe Update Manager in Flash CS3 Professional.

Flash Professional 8 FLVPlayback 1.0.1 Component Update

6/20/2006 This update provides fixes for problems related to SMIL support in the initial release of the FLVPlayback component. It also addresses some issues related to streaming from the Flash Media Server and Flash Video Streaming Service (FVSS) partners as well as some minor issues related to using custom UI controls. Anyone working with the FLVPlayback components should apply this update. Installation instructions are included with the download in the Readme file.

Flash Professional 8 and Flash Basic 8 Active Content Update

4/14/2006 This update provides new publishing templates for Flash Professional 8 and Flash Basic 8 so that user experience is not impacted by Microsoft's update to Internet Explorer regarding handling of some web pages using interactive controls (learn more). All users should apply this update.

Flash Lite 2.1 Update for Flash Professional 8

12/4/2006 With the new Flash® Lite™ 2.1 Update for Flash Professional 8 software, developers can build content for devices that support Flash Lite 2.1, and draw on capabilities of the latest mobile player.  This release includes Flash Lite 2.1 publishing support, emulator support (including XML sockets), device profiles and documentation.

Note:  Device Profiles in this offering may show Flash Lite 2.0 or Flash Lite 2.1 support even if a particular device has not yet been certified for that player version. This is for development purposes only and Adobe and its partners cannot guarantee that the device profiles will accurately reflect the on-device experience.

3/1/2006 With the new Flash Lite™ 2 Update for Flash Professional 8 software, developers can build content for devices that support Flash Lite 2, and draw on capabilities of the latest mobile player including XML support to handle data more efficiently, device video, and ActionScript 2.0. The Flash Lite 2 Update for Flash Professional 8 works with Flash Professional 8 and is not recommended for Flash Basic 8 customers.

Flash Remoting Components for Flash Professional 8 and Flash Basic 8

9/20/2005 The Flash Remoting Components extend the Macromedia Flash Basic 8 and Flash Professional 8 authoring environments. These components add the ActionScript APIs needed to invoke remote services using Flash Remoting MX and authoring tool extensions (such as the NetConnection Debugger). These components are available in English, French, German and Japanese.

Note: Flash Remoting Components for Flash MX 2004 and Flash MX are also available.
