Take outtakes from every Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fan film ever made. Throw in rabid hatred for vegetarianism and paint it with a veneer of cannibalism and an understanding of witchcraft and paganism gleaned from artifacts bought at a Spencer's Gifts store. Chop all that up with a pound and a half of generic Alophen and feed it to something feral that you find eating the marrow of road kill in Nevada. The cinematic ejecta from this experiment, if viewed with mouthfuls of peyote, might come...
I remember seeing this movie sometime right after I saw a commemorative Nirvana Unplugged on Mtv, after Kurt left us, and I remember it just sticking with me. Its awesome that this documentary is getting made.
I looked into our DVD collection and sure enough, it's there! (It's with Troll 1, which my wife actually liked).
I saw it once or twice and it's bad, really, really bad. But it was so bad I couldn't stop watching it.
I'd actually like to see this documentary. I wonder how much of the Italian director they got and if the director realizes just how bad it was.
We watch a lot of bad movies, like the bad Sword & Sorcery movies with Lou Ferrigno or David Carridine that were made by Italians in the 80s. Now, those were horrible, but Troll 2 is even worse. I seriously believe I could have made a better movie, and that's saying something.
I'd never even heard of Troll 2 before reading this but the documentary sounds interesting. Do you think I need to actually watch Troll 2 before seeing it? I don't usually get the whole "so bad it's good thing".
