Looking Back
In 2006, the CALFED Public Advisory Committee (BDPAC) created the Program Performance and Financing Subcommittee for the purpose of assessing whether or not the program had been accomplishing its goals since inception. In collaboration with program staff, the Subcommittee documented an assessment of CALFED accomplishments and shortcomings in a form intended to be accessible and understood by the public. The intent of this document was to guide future resource investments as well as determine whether the Program was accomplishing its goals.
Looking Ahead
As part of an ongoing reporting process, CALFED staff have developed a Phase l Report that identifies an initial suite of performance measures for the CALFED Program, and presents a plan for further developing and refining measures and conceptual models, as needed, under an adaptive management approach.
