About the Council on Medical Education

The Council on Medical Education (CME) formulates policy on medical education by recommending educational policies to the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates, through the AMA Board of Trustees. The Council is also responsible for recommending the appointments of representatives to accrediting bodies and to other national organizations.

Solicitations for nominations
The AMA is soliciting recommendations for possible appointments to Residency Review Committees (RRC) or nominations to American medical specialty boards.  Nominations are needed to fill 17 positions on 14 RRCs.
