The Office of Planning is a dynamic, awarding-winning agency with the lead responsibility for guiding development of the District of Columbia, including the preservation and revitalization of the city’s neighborhoods.  The Office of Planning provides vision, framework, and principles to guide public and private development decisions.

 

The Office of Planning offers an exciting work environment.  OP is expanding to begin implementing some of the city’s newest planning policies including the Comprehensive Plan, Green Building legislation, and citywide inclusionary zoning program.  In addition, OP is also undertaking a number of new initiatives related to our comprehensive zoning re-write, historic preservation planning, neighborhood revitalization plans, and urban design.
