Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Steve Buscemi, Iggy Pop, Jack and Meg White, Tom Waits, Steven Wright and Roberto Benigni are part of the eccentric cast appearing in this series of 11 wry, short films by filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, shot over a period of 17 years. Linking this lyrical and leisurely collection of black-and-white vignettes is the ubiquitous presence of a cup of joe and a ciggie, some great background music (often heard from diner jukeboxes) and an inextinguishable sense of cool.
