We couldn't imagine getting excited about a can opener, but this little guy managed to get us fired up about busting into our bartlett pears in heavy syrup. Just place it on top of a can, push the button and stand back. The hidden blade slides out from underneath and cuts off the top of the can, just below the lid. Granted, placing a container of Alpo in this gadget is a little tricky and it's not the fastest can opener in history. But, when it's finished it holds onto the lid so you can slide it into the recycling bin. No nasty metal edges to avoid!
