Tradition (journal)

Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought is a quarterly academic journal published by the Rabbinical Council of America in association with Yeshiva University in New York City. It contains essays about the history, philosophy, and practice of Orthodox Judaism.

Since 2004, the editor-in-chief has been Shalom Carmy. Previous editors-in-chief were:

• Norman Lamm (1958-1962)
• Walter Wurzberger (1962-1988)
• Emanuel Feldman (1988-2001)
• Michael Shmidman (2001-2004)

Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik wrote many articles for Tradition in the 1960s and 1970s. Other notable rabbis have contributed or edited articles.^[1]
