General Information

American Citizen Services Unit (ACS)

The U.S. Consulate General in Krakow offers a range of services to citizens of the United States who are living or traveling in its consular district which includes the provinces of Dolnoslaskie, Opolskie, Slaskie, Swietokrzyskie, Malopolskie, and Podkarpackie.  U.S. citizens residing or travelling in other parts of Poland, should contact the ACS Unit in the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw.

The ACS Unit is Krakow is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, Monday-Friday, excluding Polish and American holidays.

Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) 

The Federal Benefit Units in both Krakow and Warsaw provide assistance with the filing of applications for retirement, survivor and disability benefits with the Social Security Administration and the Veterans Administration.  They also provide a wide range of post-entitlement services.

The FBU Unit operates on an appointment only system.  To learn how to make an appointment, click here.

Emergency Services for U.S. Citizens:
In case of an emergency, you may contact the American Citizen Services Section at the Consulate in Krakow during normal working hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at (48)(12) 424 5183 or (48)(12) 424 5122, 424 - 5125. Outside of normal working hours, please call (48)(12) 424 5100. Please note that this after hours service is only for emergencies involving U.S. citizens.
