New Zealand Football Federations

History

NZ Football now boasts seven regional Federations, whereas previously there were 23 District Asociations. Federations are responsible for carrying out the planned vision of New Zealand Football and to manage the game at club and social level.

On a local level, Federations are charged with growing and developing the game through more streamlined systems, enhanced communication with members and being more accountable to seeing football developed rather than administered.

Federations have combined coaching, refereeing, playing and Aadministrating functions, across all ages, grades, divisions; competitive and social, clubs and schools.

Federations have their own boards and action groups and are ultimately accountable to the grass roots of the game.

Federations are responsible for constructing their own infrastructure, funding their activities and developing their own visions and plans to grow the sport within their own geographical boundaries and communities.
