EICAR Test

To keep your PC permanently protected against viruses, you must have an antivirus installed, updated, enabled and correctly configured. The aim of this tool is to check whether your antivirus is protecting you effectively.

The following tests involve inserting the EICAR file on your PC while you are connected to the Internet. If your antivirus is working correctly it should intercept it.
