How can I activate the product services of my antivirus product?

By activating your product, you will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Daily automatic updates for the duration of your services.
  • Tech support and SOS Virus, a rapid response to possible incidents caused by unknown viruses.


Activating products of the 2011, 2010 and 2009 range

IMPORTANT: The products of the 2011, 2010 and 2009 range must be activated from the product interface once they have been installed.

Tutorial

The aim of this tutorial is to help you activate your Retail product to register as a client and discover all the advantages that Panda Security offers you.


You need to activate your product because otherwise, you will not be able to update the Virus Signature File.

Note: this tutorial has been recorded using Panda Global Protection 2010 from the 2010 antivirus products family.

Activate the product

You can activate your product:

  • Through the pop-ups displayed once your product is installed.
  • After installing the product, go to the Help menu in the main window of the program and click Activate the product.

What data must I provide for the activation?

Using the wizard is very simple. Just enter the data required in each screen and click Next until you complete the process.

You will need the following data:

  • Your email address: Make sure you enter your email address correctly, otherwise you will not receive important information.
  • Activation code: This is the code that lets you activate the product. If you have bought the product in a store you will find this code in the product box or CD envelope. If you have bought it on the Internet, you will have received this code via email after completing the purchase.
  • Client number: You only need to enter this data if you are already a Panda client. This will allow you to extend your contracted service period.

If you are not a registered client, the last step of the wizard will invite you to register (optional) and enjoy the following additional benefits:

  • Access to the personal clients area, where you can see your client details.
  • Download the latest versions of the product.
  • Practical tips and tutorials.
  • Special discounts on renewing your product license.

Activating 2008 or earlier versions

Additional information

If, after you have activated the product you want to change the email address at which you receive communications from Panda, go to Change email address.
