James Anderson strikes with the fifth ball of Pakistan's innings, and Yasir Hameed's first, having the opener caught thanks to a juggling slip catch by Graeme Swann, to raise England's hopes

Imran Farhat takes advantage of some loose bowling to get the scoreboard moving quickly and calm Pakistan's nerves as they seek the win to set up a series decider at Lord's next week

England's hopes rest with Graeme Swann and the spinner comes up trumps by dismissing Farhat leg before for 33 after the opener sweeps and misses - Pakistan 57-2 after 11.3 overs

Pakistan are only 24 runs shy of victory when Azhar Ali calls for a single after the ball deflects off Alastair Cook at short leg, but he hesitates slightly and is run out - surely England can't win it from here, can they?

Three overs later and Anderson produces a peach of a delivery to rearrange Yousuf's stumps. Suddenly England sense the chance of a remarkable victory with Pakistan 131-5

Kamran Akmal is given out after a referral

Another wicket next over! Kamran Akmal offers no stroke to a Swann off-spinner, is struck on the pad and the referral shows the ball would have the top of off stump - Pakistan in a panic on 132-6

The irrepressible Swann keeps plugging away and has the crowd on their edge of their seats with a couple of loud appeals as Pakistan struggle to knock off the final few runs

But Amir (left) and Umar Akmal hold their nerve to see Pakistan home by four wickets, which means the series will go to the final Test at Lord's with England leading 2-1
